Our adhesive formula — the part of the product responsible for laminating all three layers — is the first of its kind that achieves the necessary fire-retardant ratings and bonding capabilities without the use of any chemicals considered harmful to the environment by the International Living Future Institute. So, whether you turn to our pre-constructed insulation facings or partner with our contract laminators to make your own, you can rest assured that the product is environmentally friendly and safe for humans.
Both processes are completed at our facility in Indiana using state-of-the-art equipment that produces the woven scrim, adheres it to strong kraft paper, and laminates all plies together through a series of rolling and nipping.
This is only a broad overview of the processes we follow at Winona Building Products to deliver the best insulation facing solutions possible. We’ll dive into more specifics during later series, but feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. When you are ready to experience the difference that leading vapor retarders and contract lamination services provide, partner with Winona Building Products.
