The Winona Difference

What separates our UL Classified insulation vapor retarders and facings and custom lamination company is first and foremost our experience. Our team possesses extensive knowledge and know-how to provide our customers with solutions for the most difficult thermal insulation coating or lamination-related problems quickly and reliably. We work hard to build lasting, long-term relationships with our distributors and to assist you throughout the entire process to make sure you are 100% satisfied with the finished product.

Our decades of experience in the industry have given us the experience to solve any problem you’re facing in relation to building insulation products. We in particular specialize in manufacturing metal building insulation, duct board, duct wrap, HVAC, and job site protection products. Our main products include:

  • FSKFoil. Scrim. Kraft. FSK insulation is a common type of insulation for original equipment manufacturers producing things like duct boards, duct wraps, and common HVAC equipment insulation applications. This type of insulation facing serves both as a vapor barrier that controls moisture and a protective layer on top of the actual insulation material, which might be made out of a material like fiberglass.

  • PSKPolypropylene. Scrim. Kraft. Rather than having an outer layer of foil, PSK uses a plastic blend of polypropylene instead. This form of insulation facing is commonly used to protect duct wraps, and also is a great option for metal building insulation and basement wall facings. The polypropylene will help prevent moisture from reaching the inner layers of your insulation, increasing their longevity and effectiveness.

  • KSKKraft. Scrim. Kraft. Winona Building Products’ heavy-duty, tri-directional fiberglass-scrim-reinforced protective kraft paper is designed to prevent liquids from soaking through and damaging floors. It is most commonly used as a job site protective paper for when there is heavy foot traffic or large objects are being moved around, like during a remodeling or construction project. KSK lasts longer than alternatives, helping reduce job costs — especially in how it prevents the need for extra repairs due to insufficient safety procedures. KSK is eco-friendly, Red List free, California Prop 65 compliant, ASTM E84 tested, and UL723 Certified.
